More upgrades for Maverick Stadium

I've heard they will be installing RED stadium chairs on the home side.... I don't know if it's the entire homeside...or just certain sections.

They will be doing a new concessions area on the home side after the season. I haven't heard about the concessions on the visitors side.

Pine Tree has a great stadium....but they aren't in our district anymore. They will be in 4A next season.

Jacksonville does have a fantastic facility... but like you said..... the parking is horrendous.

If I was going to rate the stadiums in the district after current renovations are complete.....

1. Jacksonville- best turf in ETX. Clean. Great scoreboard and concessions. But the parking is pitiful
2. Marshall- one of the largest stadiums in the district. All the upgrades put it near the top. Plenty of parking. Concrete needs powerwashing.
3. Mount Pleasant- Nothing fancy. But it's clean and easy to get in and out of. Parking is meh.
4. Texas High- This would be #3 if it weren't for the concrete seats. Rough neighborhood too. But the atmosphere is one of the best out there.
5. Hallsville- Boring. But it works. Small visitor's side. Can be LOUD when it's full.
6. Nacogdoches- recent upgrades bumped them up one notch. No atmosphere. But the new turf and scoreboard are nice. Smallest home side in the district?
7. Whitehouse- It's an overgrown Judson Middle school Stadium. Zzzzzzz.

Red Stadium chair seating on the home side would be FANTABULOUSE !!!!

Are the Red Stadium seats going to be installed for this coming season?

Mavchamp,, Have you heard anymore about the Stadium Chairs being done for this season? I am by Maverick almost daily and have not seen any signs yet.

I don't think they are being secretive. They just haven't made a formal announcement until plans are finalized. We will have news as soon as things are nailed down.

I've been posting on twitter.....not much to say this time of the year. Students are just working out and enjoying the summer.

The webpage is about to get a HUGE addition in the historical section. I hope everyone likes it. I should be MOSTLY done with it in a few weeks. Biggest addition the webpage has had in many years. Pretty excited about it.

Sounds like it's going to be more than just the new seats.  The newspaper said multiple propositions, but they didn't name what they were.  I'm guessing they are planning on updating the concessions and the restrooms.  I know they updated the restrooms two years ago, but I think they are going with a new build on both sides and doing away with the original restrooms.  Hopefully they are going to do something with the concrete stands too.  Needs lots of attention.  How old is Maverick Stadium?

I've seen the video of the stadium on twitter and facebook, but the it doesn't show the red seats in the video.  And the article just says bleachers.  Are the red seats not going to be a thing?

With or without the stadium chairs....Maverick Stadium will be one of the premier stadiums in East Texas.

But I wouldn't be shocked to see it happening before this is all said and done with.

I got it yesterday, from the Athletic Dept.  stadium seats are in the plan, but are at least two years out !!!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to do it all at once?  We are going to get all this expensive work done and finished then come back and have more construction after its finished?  That makes zero sense.
