I know they have been working on renovations at the high school for the last few years and it looks like they are finally going to get everything on the main campus finished. I read where every classroom will get new floors, walls, and ceiling. I saw where the cafeteria and the library are going to be completely redone. A new vo-tech area is going to be built behind the campus. They have already completely gutted and replaces the auditorium and the gym. Sounds like it will be a practically grand new school after everything is finished.
But not a single word about the stadium. Every athletic facility and classroom in the entire school district is either brand new or newly renovated. But nothing being said about our biggest, most used, most visible venue.
We only hosted one playoff game. Geography says we should be hosting at least 2 playoff games every week until the 4th round. We just refuse to make a significant investment to make it a more appealing place to play. Several games chose smaller stadiums in smaller towns when it should have been in Marshall. This should be a cashcow for us. Too lazy and too cheap to build something to make us special.
