The athletic department has really gotten after it this spring as far as developmental teams particularly for the Junior High
They had 7th and 8th grade boys and girls soccer this spring
They had 7th and 8th grade golf..... with several girls participating, hoping to revive the girls golf team.
The MJH Cross Country team exploded in growth last fall
They are doing spring volleyball in addition to their regular fall season.
Of course, football has returned....and there were two 7th grade teams and two 8th grade teams last fall.
All good things! Congrats to the coaching staff on recognizing a need to develop these young players so they can compete in district play when they get to high school.
Hopefully MISD can get some tennis courts built at the new junior high to help grow the tennis program as well.
