Was listening to coffee with the coach this morning on the radio and he was talking about how we’re in the exact same position as we were last season. But we aren’t. Last year we were 2-2 and Whitehouse had already lost to Nac. But this year Texas High and Whitehouse are still undefeated. That makes our chances of getting the two seed really low. Means we are going on the road if we even make the playoffs. And that’s another difference. We had an offense that was hard to stop. This year anyone with a winning record stops us.

If Whitehouse loses to MP this week then they will have a loss. I think MP beats them Friday night.

If Whitehouse loses to MP this week then they will have a loss. I think MP beats them Friday night. Doesn’t matter. Last year Nac beat Whitehouse and then we beat them both which gave us the 2 seed. We can’t do that this year because even if Whitehouse loses this week, we already lost to MP. They have the tiebreaker over us. We had the tie breaker over Whitehouse last year. There’s no way we can have the tiebreaker over MP unless they were to lose to PT, which ain’t happening. The 2 seed will either be MP or Whitehouse. The best we can get is 3rd with some help. And we will end 4th if we beat Nac. As bad as our offense is right now I’m not sure we can beat Nac. |

Yeah. That’s all true. Hosting a playoff game is probably pretty slim that till probably be Texarkana and Mt pleasant.
Going on the road isn’t a big deal. Everyone did it just 4-5 years ago no matter what your seed was. Playing a top 10 team though first is a lot.

Marshall can still finish in second place.
If Whitehouse beats Mt Pleasant this week that would make them 4-0 and Mt Pleasant would be 2-2 with Marshall 2-2. Then Marshall beat Nacogdoches and Whitehouse lose to Texas High and Mt Pleasant beat Pine Tree that would have Whitehouse 4-1 and Mt pleasant and Marshall 3-2. Then have Marshall beat Whitehouse and Mt Pleasant beat Hallsville that means all three would be tied 4-2 and it would come down to point differentials. Marshall lost to Mt Pleasant by 10. If Whitehouse beats them by more than 10 that pretty much erases that win and then it would come down to Marshall beating Whitehouse by 10 or more. Texas High wins district 6-0 with Marshall, Whitehouse and Mt Pleasant all 4-2.
