If Marshall takes care of the football and doesn't make stupid turnovers and moves the ball on offense, they should win the game. The defense looked a little rough against Pine Tree, but if they can keep the Tyler offense on the sidelines then we can steal a win.

I think this game is winnable, but we always seem to start the season in a funk. Offense never seems to come out firing and the defense gives up too many big plays. We saw it last year against John Tyler and Longview too. Tyler is probably licking their chops to beat us at home.

Well....
I had a good feeling that we could take care of business and win.
I DID NOT expect that. WOW.
Considering the weather conditions, it's hard to complain about the offense. They moved the ball well most of the night. Give the Tyler defense props for some of the stops. We had a short field all night and didn't cash in on all the chances...but we still did what we had to do. Several long drives.
Gotta work on ball security. Some of that was likely due to the monsoon..... but some of it was poor mechanics. All fixable.
Defense was LIGHTS OUT. Take away one long run by Tyler and they didn't do much at all. Only 4 first downs.
Great job by the players executing. Great game plan by the coaching staff. Some good halftime adjustments too.
Gotta feel good about the game. I'll take it.
