I heard we went 1-1 Tuesday night against Carthage and Tatum. Sounds like Carthage roughed us up pretty good, but we beat Tatum. I didn't see Mavchamp post any scores on Smoaky. Defense played well.
Sounds like this coming season will be a carbon copy of the last two seasons because it will come down to offensive line play and the quarterback position. If the offensive line struggles this could be a long season for us. If they come together, it could be special with JQ Davis. The biggest question mark is the quarterback position. I don't think a final decision has been made who it will be. We're rotating a lot.
Still concerned about this new offense everyone keeps talking about. If the kids struggle with this new offensive system, we could be in for a rough year. But if they catch on quick, we could be pretty good. No telling what will happen.
One thing is for sure, there's a lot of talk this year coming our of Hallsville and Mount Pleasant. We better be ready because they are both hungry to step up. They want to knock Marshall off the block. Our guys better be taking them seriously. The days of Texarkana and Marshall waltzing through the district are over. This is going to be a very competitive district from top to bottom.
