Longview beat McKinney Boyd 36-10. Mavs travel to Lobo Stadium next.

Henderson lost to Liberty Eylau 26-22 in their season opener. They have Hallsville next. Marshall will host Henderson in week 3.

Carthage beat Kilgore 42-10. Marshall will host Carthage in week 4.

Pine Tree lost to Van 28-14. Marshall opens district play Vs. PT

Marshall's playoff opponents from last season had a couple of rough games this week......

Bryan Rudder lost to Willis 73-14.

Crosby lost to C E King 63-7

Bastrop lost to Lehman 40-34..... Former Mav Boss Jake Griedl fell in their opener Friday night. But it looks like Coach G's offense is humming. Best of luck to him and his staff this season.

Cuero beat El Campo 43-14. Coach Alvarez came to Marshall from Cuero.

Huntsville lost to A&M Consolidated 38-13.

Carthage is the biggest obstacle until we play Texarkana. We could win four in a row. Would be good to roll into Tiger Stadium with a record of 5-1.

I love that we have Henderson after Longview. It may be needed.

But Carthage is Carthage...... they will be TOUGH.

Good Luck to coach Griedl in Bastrop. I know he will get those boys up and running.

I also saw where coach Mathis and DeSoto won big up in Oregon

Southern and Huntsville will be fine. They lost to a really good team. They will be there in November.

Does anyone know if Coach Harris is still in the game? I always liked him a lot.

I heard Richters isn't coaching anymore after struggling in a couple of places after Marshall. Hate it for him because he was a good coach and a good OC. He just never had any success as a head coach.
